Joey is a senior in the BSW program with a minor in psychology and serves as the student representative for the BSW program committee. Joey is passionate about community work and is excited to help create a space where students can form positive connections with each other and the greater Richmond community.

Elena Diaz is the treasure of the BSWSA for the 2024-2025 school year! Elena is a double major in Social Work and Philosophy with a concentration in Law. Elena is very excited to connect with other Social Work students and helping the BSW program and its students thrive!

Julia Stodard is the Vice President of the BSWSA for the 2024-2025 year! Julia is a senior in the BSW program, minoring in psychology and gender, sexuality, and women’s studies. Julia is passionate about working within the greater Richmond and VCU community, hoping to create lasting connections with other future social workers. Julia is excited to continue working with the BSWSA and serve as a resource for other BSW students.

Dija Ndiaye is the Engagement and Outreach officer of the BSWSA for the 2024-2025 school year! Dija is a freshman in the BSWSA program. Dija is passionate about being able to help and advocate for children and families across the world, and she’s excited to collaborate with her team members to make a difference.

Autumn Matusiak is the Secretary of the BSWSA for the 2024-2025 school year! As a Junior in the BSW Program with a minor in Sociology, Autumn is dedicated to supporting her peers and ensuring effective communication within the association. She is excited to help create opportunities for collaboration and growth within the campus and local communities.

Laila McGlone serves as the Volunteer Experience Manager for BSWSA. Laila is a 3rd-year Social Work student with a minor in Psychology. Community service is an important part of her life and most of her own volunteer experience consist of assisting children with disabilities and chronic illnesses which is the population she plans to work with in her career as a clinical social worker.
